Located on the banks of the Parramatta River, Drummoyne Sailing Club was formed in 1913 as a 16ft Skiff Club and moved to the current clubhouse in 2001. The Clubhouse overlooks the river and surrounding districts looking absolute North, hence “the club with the million dollar view." With 2 bars, TAB and Sky Channel, Keno, Fox Sports and regular club activites such as Raffles and Trivia, there's always something to do at Drummoyne Sailing Club. Drummoyne Sailing Club boasts spectacular views of Upper Sydney Harbour with 180 degree views from Birchgrove to Hunters Hill across North Sydney, including views of Spectacle, Cockatoo & Snapper Islands. The large glass enclosed Sailors’ Lounge is fully air conditioned & opens onto a large sunny outdoor deck that caters exclusively for the needs of all of your guests. It has its own bar and holds up to 130 guests comfortably for a cocktail party. Additionally, The Sailors Lounge is available for Corporate hire on weekdays between 8am and 4pm and is ideal for Seminars, Meeting, Workshops and Training days. DSC offers sailors awesome on-shore facilities, excellent race management, large fleets, competitive sailing and popular after-race functions - for both kids and adults. COMPETITVE SAILING: DSC conducts sailing boat races on the waters of the Parramatta River in the vicinity of Cockatoo Island, Spectacle island and Snapper Island. The sailing season runs from September to April with races held on Saturdays, Sundays and Tuesday evenings during daylight saving (Twilights). Entry to dinghy divisions is restricted to those classes supported by the club - Entry to the yacht division is open to most monohulls. BOAT STORAGE: On-site boat storage is available subject to space and conditional on the boat owner being a DSC member, the boat being of a class supported by the DSC and that it competes regularly in scheduled Club events. With spectacular views over the Parramatta River towards Hunters Hill, North Sydney, Greenwich and Balmain this is the ideal venue for a special day or night out.
